Comprehensive Hospice services in Indianapolis. !6 bed in-house facility for patients on Indy's southside. Also serve patients in their homes. 

Our hospice care teams strive to continue the ministry of Christ through compassion to each patient and their family regardless of his or her ethnic or faith background. Franciscan hospice affirms and celebrates life and regards dying as a natural process, recognizing that every person has the right to die with dignity, peace and comfort. We are in need of volunteers to work the front desk at our Hospice House. We are a small facility so there would be time to do homework while monitoring the front doors! Other opportunities include, but are not limited to providing respite for caregivers, patient companionship, office assistance, and bereavement support. You can also bring your unique talents to our Hospice Volunteer team. This would be a wonderful opportunity for social work, psychology, and nursing majors.  Or, any student who wants to put their compassion to work in the community. Volunteer assignments would include assisting in patient’s homes for home hospice. Or, working in our comprehensive inpatient hospice facility on the southside of Indianapolis. Comprehensive training will be provided.
