Who We Are
Brightlane Learning is the only organization in Marion County exclusively dedicated to providing academic intervention services for children impacted by homelessness and housing instability.
Our mission is to transform the lives of students impacted by homelessness and housing instability with personalized tutoring and academic support while advocating for their families as they navigate the educational system. We envision a future where youth homelessness is eliminated, educational equity is a reality, and every child has the opportunity to reach their full potential.
What We Do
Brightlane Learning connects children impacted by homelessness to trained volunteer tutors who provide tutoring multiple times each week. We provide tutoring, academic enrichment programs, and educationally-based case management services at partner sites throughout Indianapolis.
Brightlane Learning's services are delivered at no charge to the families or students we serve. Our model eliminates the barrier of transportation by meeting students were they live or where they attend school.
Our staff of educators, social workers, and youth specialists help parents navigate the education system by providing comprehensive support services that meet every student and family where they are academically.
