What We Do
The English Learner Department of Southport High School needs volunteers to help English Learners with homework during their study halls. There are also opportunities to work with content teachers assisting students in their math, science, and elective classes. We serve a population of 630 students from all over the world. Bilingual volunteers are preferred, but not required in the languages of Spanish, Swahili, Hakha Chin, Burmese, and French.
