Ivy Tech Community College Upward Bound

TRIO Upward Bound is a federally funded college preparatory program that provides high school students with the resources and support necessary to successfully complete high school and smoothly transition into the college/university of their choice. TRIO Upward Bound at Ivy Tech Community College - Indianapolis is uniquely positioned to work exclusively with Ben Davis High School students. Our team has been trained and properly equipped to support their students through what many consider to be the most crucial time period in life. Every meeting, program, and experience that we offer has been intentionally created to strengthen our students' belief in self. We are committed to supporting students academically, professionally, and personally to ensure that they reach their full potential. Upward Bound offers the following resources and services: - Receive one-on-one mentoring and advising - Tutoring and study sessions - Receive stipends for participation and attendance (up to $40/month during the school year and $60/month during the summer) - Career exploration opportunities - College tours - Community service opportunities - Pre-professional development opportunities - Hands on college experience with our summer academy (On Campus courses, activities, and experiences) - Connecting with students across the state with similar ambitions - Many opportunities to travel locally, in-state, and out of state - Assistance in applying for FAFSA, scholarships, jobs, and college applications
