Join the Student Counseling Center clinical staff in the campus garden to learn how to practice mindfulness while gardening. Included in this 3-week workshop, you’ll learn basic skills of mindfulness – focusing on the “here-and-now” breath-by-breath as you garden and allow yourself to be fully immersed in nature. The project involves covering the community gardens with large plastic tarps, killing the cover crop and preparing the soil for the upcoming season, as well and using landscaping rocks to secure the tarps.
