Adelante Schools - Emma Donnan Elementary and Middle School

Our mission comes alive through our motto: “Pushing onwards towards the future,” or Adelante. Adelante pushes us to always think and dream about that future and to inspire scholars to be leaders in their communities. It pushes us to find solutions to challenges that we encounter during the pursuit of our mission. It pushes us to ensure that everything we do is truly for the benefit of our scholars’ futures, and to the future of the community, we are lucky enough to serve. It makes clear that we value education not as a means to an ephemeral end, but as a pursuit to inspire life-long learning.

We unite in solidarity with our families and community to create a joyous neighborhood school, preparing all scholars to graduate from college and lead lives of leadership and service to Indianapolis.
