Direct Patient Care – Our direct patient volunteers visit and support patients one-on-one. Direct patient care opportunities can include providing bedside companionship, providing respite care for family caregivers, helping around the house, and assisting with veterans’ visits and activities.

Virtual – Our virtual volunteers help support office operations from the comfort of their own home. Virtual opportunities include making welcome phone calls, making tuck-in calls, writing letters to patients, calling volunteer references, and other office needs.

Administrative – Our administrative volunteers help support hospice office operations. Administrative opportunities can include assisting with office duties, making and answering phone calls, writing personalized letters and cards, attending community events and health fairs, and other office needs.

Professional – Our professional volunteer opportunities are provided by volunteers who have a special skill or credential to share with our patients and families. These can include reiki/massage/other alternative therapies, music and art therapy, pet therapy, or hairdressers/barbers.

Bereavement – Our bereavement volunteers support family who have lost a loved one. Bereavement opportunities can include making supportive phone calls, visiting the bereaved at home, attending memorial services, and assisting with bereavement support groups.
