Do you want to be a part in restoring and sustaining the Earth with native species? This project is just for you! Weed wrangling is a habitat restoration effort led by the Department of Native Landscapes to remove invasive species along waterways to promote healthy ecosystems! We will be removing Asian Bush Honeysuckle, an aggressive and invasive species, along Fall Creek Trail and the Department of Native Landscapes team will be chipping brush during the project.
Parking: Volunteers can find parking is located at the Riverside Park Family Center (2420 E Riverside Dr., Indianapolis, IN 46208) and the meeting will be located near by. Restrooms are available for use at the Riverside Park Family Center.
Safety: We highly recommend wearing weather-appropriate clothing, close-toed shoes, and gloves that are provided (you are welcome to bring your own). We always recommend bringing a reusable bottle for water but we will have disposable cups available, if needed.
